Chicken Pox rocks at NITC

Never in my life have I tasted chicken...But still I got Chicken pox.(How come?)..Well I don't know...Most of the students in my class was havingan experinxce of it..I was a bit afraid of it...So didn't dare to take any chance and hence soon ran to homeEverything was fine, And I was abt to step out to college..Alas a kuru on my face detected by Amma,Confirmed that I have been infected..Soon sentenced to 2 weeks room imprisonment...Things were not different in the college..More and more students wre being affected and it was decided to shut the college for 2 weeks...Thank god I need not worry abt the medical certificate and othe hulaballas...Homeopothy treatment...Fruits at alternate intervals..everything fine but can't bear the usual food served without any salt...well that is the most horrible part ,I suppose..Advices poured in from all walks of life..People with and without any experiance of it started to dictate the fundas...Each phone call mad amma more and more tensed..
Amma had a real tough time...She was worried abt it spreading to muthassan who is bed ridden. She took 2 weeks leave...and was there ready to execute my orders...I know that she was doing everything posssible from her part...But ocassionaly I used to pour my wrath on her, for there was no one else to shout.
This post dedicated to her, for her wonderful company during those hard days...

CNN IBN INDIAN OF THE YEAR

Sreedharan received CNN IBN INDIAN OF THE YEAR...
Kudos to him..Sreedharan ,One of the most inspiring lives of contemporaryIndian society..In the rank of people like APJ, Mother teresa,Manmohan Singh etc..
His name used to figure in various rankings of different magazines..Has made to the TIME'S list ,also a ususal name in India Today 50 powerful people...
Well what does it really signifies?
First of all it is really a morale booster for all those who have dedicated their lives forpublic service .Of course their selfless mind may not be longing for any recognition..But it is important to make them feel that INDIA really cares them..In a country where bollywood and cricket stars are worshipped near to GOD and wherePublic service is totally out of the lime light, such acts ,such awards, are badly required. It may not be making any difference in those people, who will certainly above such awards, but it inspires the Indian Youth to follow their foot steps. Also it may help them to think out ofblind star worship.
We certainly need Film stars and Cricket stars..But what is their service to the country..Apart from filling thier pockets , how do they make the difference in the society..Perhaps theyentertain us for a few hours..But is that sufficient to have a demi god status?I remeberwhen there was a case in the Delhi High court, lawyers of BCCI pleading that INDIAN cricket teamisa private body, with its own private business and has nothing to do with the country..I wonder if at all a situation occurs, in which the Govt decides to float its own cricketing team and use the revenue from it to eradicate poverty, how many Sachins Or Gangulies will be there to resignfrom BCCI and play for the country. Certainly they say that they play for the country, but is it for thecountry? or for personal monetary benefits and fame, One is not sure.Of course among them tehre will be people who might be doing social service, but that is only a part time business andcertainly comes only after the case of those who have dedicated their lives for the cause of others.
Personally , Sreedharan Sir is a great source of inspiration for me. May be because of the reason that he is a malluHe is a wonder to me , for that he works even at his 76th year(if I am correct)..His secrets..Yoga
I salute PADMAVIBUSHAN Shri SREEDHARAN and wish If we had more sreedharans...

Inspiring Inspiron!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a lot to write and I wonder where to start from….

As I had posted earlier, I’ve decided to buy a dell Inspiron notebook which costs something around 44k. I think dell’s policy of direct to customer will save a good amount. First u need not pay the commission that the dealers will charge you ,also there is no VAT which will save you some 2K.Altogether I suppose that it is a good deal, only that I will have to wait for some 3 more weeks. No problem. Quality comes with a price. It is somewhat a high end configuration. Dual (2) core of 2.GHz, 2 GB RAM, 2MB cache, 2Mega Pixel web cam (ya its all twos. Perfect coincidence.160GB hard disk) .Only that I will have to bear (both the cost and low performance) of Windows Vista. I tried to get a Linux version, not that I would use a pirated version, I simply don’t need. If it was an XP, I would not have minded. But Vista is horrible, I suppose. May be with 2 GB ram I can manage (and perhaps enjoy the aero experience.)

Well the need of laptop at NITC is something that I wish to write in detail. Why I decided to buy one upon a “blade loan”. Well I don’t venture to write on it. It is perhaps a complex issue. Only that, I will have to be more disciplined to make the best use of it. NITC is a place where I have noticed myself being described as “Bagyavan” upon telling that I don’t have a laptop. That’s the way things go here…..

Half naked fakir!!!!!!!

Thats what I felt, sitting near the operation theater waiting for my turn to get inside the 'STERILE AREA' for the first time in my life.I had a growth on my lymph node which I decided to operate. It was at Daya hospital Thrisur that I ended up. Two words abt the hospital;;;Good bulding, moderate rates, Good doctors but extremely poor system and extremely poor nurses. Thats my first hand feel abt it. No where else, I suppose, u would find a doctor attending the share holders meeting when he has got a lot of patients waiting outside for his 'Darsahn'. And the villian of the story is Dr Abdul Aziz. I can't help writing abt him, as the desperation I felt ,on having to wait for 3 hrs after getting a token no 3, is quite inexpressible.I will have to go there one more time but certainly I won't dare again.

I am planning to take a lap top. Most probably that of DELL Inspiron...Everything is good except the delivery system.Siraj is having a real mess out there to get the laptop .His has been a wait of more than one month.
Is this the customer care of such an international brand.Extremely shameful....
