#Wishlist

Probably everyone who has tasted the drug of travelling  dreams of travelling the world. I am not different. Of late, I badly want to go on a 'food trip',  just for tasting different cuisines..Being a vegetarian and that too from Kerala, I realise,  much of my taste buds haven't  been utilised...so probably a Pan India trip might help ..Adding to the wish list!

Escaping yourself

Quite surprisingly, most of the stuff that one gets excited in one's life, is directed towards escaping from oneself...

From playing a sport to driving, from being with friends to watching movies, from travelling to reading, from music to dance, from drinks to grass,  from scuba diving to sky diving, from sex to meditation,  everything is intended to help one forget the moment, forget oneself & empty the mind ...The more one can escape from oneself, the more one can empty the mind, the more the addiction it seems...

Life of Passion

The hardest part is not leading a life of passion..in fact it is quite easy..the hardest part is discovering those passions ....

Purpose of life

The purpose of life is the pursuit of happiness...One cannot really define happiness, one can only define those things which make one happy...

Life as a series of choices

A.  Happiness vs Pride vs Meaning
B.  Freedom vs Impact vs Money
C.  Relationships vs Experiences
D.  Skill Set vs Work Life Balance vs  Money
E.  Freedom vs Love

Could figure out the answers for A & B (happens to be in the order above)...Confused on C, D & E

Whispers of heart

Feel that, at times the whispers of heart are quite loud..where as , at times it could be quite gentle that one need to be really attentive..

Manali Leh

Perhaps the best experience I had in my life so far was the Manali Leh Bike Trip..Sadly I forgot to write about it ...Creating a placeholder here ...To fill sometime soon... It is almost three years since that awesomeness...I am afraid that the Memories might fade..The beauty about the trip was that , it gave truck loads of memories along with a hell lot of life philosophies..

Being Stupid

Each day I wonder how stupid I was the other day...Not sure if I should feel happy or sad :)  :(

Meditations by Marcus Aurelius

Have been reading this classic for the last few days.
What surprised me was that I too had a very similar Meditations or Letters to Self.
Co-incidentally, my own 'Meditation', start with a list of people whom I admire , and what I have learned  from each of them, just like that in the book...There is a hell lot of similarities between his and mine, to my surprise..
So, someday, I too can write something like 'Mediations by a Confused Dreamer!'

Philosophy

Perhaps the only rule to follow in ones life is to not to have any rules.

As a child, you were spontaneous. You played when you wanted , you slept when you wanted..You quarrelled at one moment and you reconciled at the other... you smiled now and cried then...life was spontaneous and had no rules..

As you grow up, you start assigning rules..the rational mind slowly takes over the spontaneous heart...And often these are the rules that are set at the behest or perhaps at the the influence of the world around...

And then slowly you realise the futility of many things around...And thats when you want to break out..And the struggle begins..And then you discover Osho!  :P

Anyway ,  lucky are the ones who could preserve their spontaneity of the heart and carelessness about the world !

Philosophy

People do things which make them happy, or proud, or provide meaning to their lives.

You travel for happiness
You spend time with people (friends, family, date, partner, or a complete stranger ) for happiness
You read for happiness
You play for happiness
You seek new experiences for happiness

You toil for things which make you proud..
You seek mastery for feeling proud....

And there are other other things which help you find meaning for your life..

And the challenge is to have that perfect mix of those three...

Forrest Gump

It had been more than a year since I last saw a movie.  Was great to break that jinx with Forrest Gump...Oh, Boy! What a movie!

"- Do you ever dream, Forrest, about who you're gonna be? -Who I'm gonna be?............. Yeah. .................Aren't I going to be me? "

"I don't know if we each have a destiny,............or if we're all just floating around......accidental-like on a breeze.........But I think,......maybe it's both"

"Now, Mama said there's only so much fortune a man really needs, and the rest is just for showing off."
