from Steve

“Who is our target customer? Why are they selecting our products over our competitor’s? And what distribution channels are we going to use to reach these customers?”
pretty hard questions , but has to be answered...

thoughts on productivity and self control....

As I embark on a highly uncertain journey with little option to turn back , I was thinking of how to discipline myself..

There are certain facts which terrifies me...I am the greatest procrastinator..I could never devote more than 5 hrs to study even on a single day in my entire student life...
Thats when I see people around me devoting 11+hrs easily . Every day I go to sleep with the resolution of getting things better the coming day...I still remember my entrance preparation days when everyday I used to fill my diary with detailed plans on how to cover up the topics..Each day night,I used to re-write the plan , for I would not have devoted at least 20% of what was already planned for that day....When this continued for more than 3 months,I decided to stop the exercise of filling up the diary. In fact I decided to stop even studying...Out of the last 60 days previous to the exam, I still remember that I had touched my books only on 6-7 occasions.

So here are some tips for myself before I start that journey...

1.Have clear cut plans for the day and the week

2.Follow pomodoro technique and have a to do list

3.Start the day by preparing the to do list for the day. There should be only one objective for the day-and that should be to tick off each and every item mentioned in the to do list.Should not think about anything under the sun other than this.

4.Should have completed at least 20% of things mentioned for the day before breakfast. The goodness of something completed would push things further for the day.On the contrary the regret of wasted time would drag things out.

5.Work 6 days a week.Should not touch the computer on the 7th day

6.Before opening the computer , be clear on what to do.Should not slip to surfing and facebooking. Have specific time slots for things like fb,gmail, reader, news etc

7.Have time slots for meditation/jogging/swimming/cooking/yoga and stick to a routine.
Read at least a book / or here a pep talk daily so as to charge oneself...

Wishing myself good luck

Inspiring commercials

Thank You Steve

More than for the itouch I have, more than for the mac book I may have in the near future , Thank You Steve for the following two sentences...

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. …
You have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.…

These two sentences have influenced me more than what my 18+ years of education have done...

scribbles ....1

time to set priorities..
was(is) it money ? yes it was a couple of years before..but certainly not now....
more than that , it is the excitement for new technologies, the passion to work my breath out...to be a technopreneur...to create applications that solves real world problems in the most innovative way....
so its not money...a radical and welcome change in the mindset...
And I am sure that money should follow.(if not, well I would consider this as my M-tech course with no stipend...)

Scribbles

U think of a product and search google...c at least a dozen of similar existing ones in the market(the lucky early starters)...adding insult to injury is that all would be based in india..

So, has the world got all that good things it require....isn't there one more good thing it would love to have...What could be the next google, apple or fb?...or rather a much modest product

Sleepless nights...brain storming thoughts ...
but the bottom of it is that I am enjoying it...
And that is what matters more....

.........

Mixed set of emotions glances through my mind...The uncertainty of what next?

I have to start dig the darkness for a way out....
And I am very modest in my dreams now....A 12k per month , gud enough for a months rent + electricity + internet + cooking gas + food + other basic things....

Should be more than happy with that....

Kodachadri trip...

From : Bangalore
T0 : Kudajadiri, Kollur
Started : Friday night 8 pm
Reached back: Sunday night 9pm
Month : April first week

There are a number of blogs which narrates trips to kudajadiri. So Why yet another one ? Perhaps that was the thought which was stopping me from writing about one of the best trips I ever had in my life. But still I am putting it down, since this was one of a kind experience .

By sheer accident, everything went perfect for us. We got down at the right place, we had the best host and met with the best guide .

We started off from bangalore at around 8 pm.It was a nice journey of abt 11 hrs to kudajadiri. As the destination approached, places started to become highly uninhabited , and smog started to hinder our drive. Altogether it was a mystic ambiance around.

But still we managed to reach there by around 7 am. After having made enough research , we had planned to stop at Nittur. But luckily our driver took us to a place called Kattinahole where the normal road ends. The peak Kudajadiri is abt 9 km from Kattinahole. You will have to either trek or hire a jeep from here.

There is a small shop at Kattinahole attached to a house. And the family who stays there takes care of anything and everything the travelers want, for a very nominal rate. Actually it was them who made our trip a unique one. We took a bath from a nearby stream and got our preliminaries done at their house. After a small breakfast, we started off. We had decided that we would trek uphill and while coming down we would hire a jeep , so that we could enjoy the best of both . They arranged a guide for us , a quiet young man who took care of us in the next two days. And what followed was beyond words. (We wanted to trek through the forest and not the normal route , else we could have done without the guide. But an extremely breathtaking waterfall(Hidlumane fall) was on the route through the forest and hence a guide was essential)

Let pictures speak from here.....
