Watched Syamaprasad's Ritu...Nothing extra ordinary , but here and there it touched the heart..The last film that I watched with wet eyes was Blessy's Thanmatra...So it has been a long gap after that..
A cinema is a powerful medium of communication..I enjoy a film when I could relate myself to it..when the scenes brings some nostalgic memories to my mind..but genuine creativity in the malayalam industry is not visible...
Recently I saw a talk by Sunitha Krishnan , narrating her fight against sexual trafficking...It was another touching narration that communicated to the heart..It mad me think " Who are real heroes ? "...We often miss-interpret excellence as heroism..What we see in the lives of stars around , whether it be from the field of sports,film,business or politics , they are mere 'excellence'...And heroism is much more than that..And sadly, the society fails to appreciate it..I salute the wonderful life of Sunitha Krishan and wish I had half her courage...
I wonder how uncaring are we ( or perhaps I ) to the society..Some days back I heard that one of the cooks in my mess was suffering from cancer..An age old man who had retired as the chief cook and continued to work as a temporary staff , that too a 12 hour shift daily for a meager wage of Rs 150..I had eaten many of the 'Dhosas; and 'Pooris' made by him..perhaps the second person to have cooked for me after my mother..But still haven't made any enquiry about his health..busy with my own preoccupations in my own world..
Truly shame on me..
Back to some pep thoughts...Had been wishing to systematise my life for a long a time..but not even a single attempt made in that respect..Things are not diffrent in 2010 too..as lazy as ever...Has not forayed into the field of literature so far..Now it is time for it too..Wish to learn many things like Jyothisham,Finance,Phsycology and so on..and also the art of programming..
And about 92 days left as student...(Mixed feelings :) ) and enjoying each and every moment of it...
